Yahoo! 3D Gesture Control

Brandfirst and Tronic installed a wall-sized screen at Yahoo!’s Sunnyvale campus that detects and interacts with people as they pass by. It begins with attract mode, displaying a giant Y! logo composed of monolithic stacking tiles.

Each of these interactive tiles represents one of the brands properties, Finance, Sport, News or Shine (horoscopes), and shifts with the passer by, mimicking their movement. The tiles can then be moved around, piled up and pushed off screen through hand gestures and movements.

Quick movements activate ‘carousel mode’ which allows users to bring tiles forward to read information, some of which is drawn live from Yahoo! feeds, such as sports scores or daily horoscopes.
